Seance to Aurora

Notes by Squire Margaret August, Lightbringer

"I cannot help you. But I will send you to one who can"

Q: represents questions, A represents answers, I represents information

I: I don't like owing favors and now I don't owe Aurora one

I: What can I tell you? Everything

I: We could owe a favor to him. We wouldn't like it.

I: We could travel back in time. The second we try to everyone whose ever served Chronos will be commanded to destroy you

Q: Why do we need him (Calladen)?
A: He was alive in the time when the place we wish to go was created
  • He knows where it is
  • We could be standing right in front of it and wouldn't know it
  • We could find it through Aelias but couldn't enter it
  • A lock with many keys, he has one

Q: What are we even supposed to be doing once we're there?
A: We are trying to serve Aurora and using the power that can be gathered

Q: What other things can we do?
A: If I told you you couldn't do it

Q: How does it all end?
    A: Darkness

Q: How do we prevent that?
A: I don't know. Calladen is trying to do that. He has yet to succeed. Everything begins in darkness and ends in darkness and in between is the light. Can that be stopped? Yes. But it never has been

I: Mortals have a power. They bent it towards their will. They say their end coming, and locked it away so others could not use it towards their will. That's what we're dealing with. Once it's unlocked, it depends what they do when they're in there

    Q: Calladens purpose?
    A: Survival

    Q: Can Calladen be redeemed?
    A: Mortal concept

I: If we free him from the dagger he could go back in time. What he'd do there is unknown

Q: Why did you owe a favor to Aurora?
A: A favor to what you would call the gods. What they are not who they are

Q: Is Rev powerful enough to put the god back to sleep?
    A: No

Q: What does Rev want to do?
    A: Accumulate power for himself

    Q: Calladen vs Rev
A: Calladen has a better understanding of how it works

Q: Can we get access to Calladen without direct access to the knife?
A: Knife to free him. If he's not freed he can't exert his power

Q: Is there a way to get the knife?
A: Kill him (Rev) and steal it

Q: Why is Laika needed by Calladen
A: Do you know how many times he's done this?
  • He always needs you
  • There's always each of us

    Q: What is Laika?
A: He is who he is. He's a mortal

    Q: Who else is needed?
    A: Everybody

Q: Beyond the fact that Rev has the dagger does he have any reason to get involved?
    A: He seeks power
  • Once he realized Calladen was using him more than the other way around he changed

Q: How dangerous is casting magic at the red staff?
  • Depends on the variety
  • What types are dangerous?
  • Magic that makes a connection

Q: Is it a problem that Mathias has it?
A: For us yes, for the gods definitely

I: Everybody thinks they know what it is

Q: What happens if we give it to Rev
A: Slightly to much worse than its current situation

    I: Staff of Satreal
  • Has an angel inside
  • No relation to red staff

    Q: What are we doing?
A: In the past not long ago a request for the Champion of Aurora was made. The choice was to accept Aurora's task or make one of your own. It was chosen to complete Aurora's task

Q: What do we have to do to complete it?
A: Must have faith and understand that you cannot succeed

Q: How at risk is Laika and how can we minimize that risk?
A: Is Laika who served Kaipheron here
  • No
  • Is Laika the Squire here?
  • No
  • If we succeed will the Laika before us will he be there?
  • No

    Q: Can we trust Calladen?
    A: Can you trust anyone?
  • I cannot answer that question for you

Q Calladen said in order to complete this task we would have to do things morally objectionable. What are those things?
A: If you have faith and you understand that this task was made in a way to prevent people from doing what they want to do with this power the only thing you can do is have faith

Q: Does an Auroran need to be sacrificed?
A: Inside there is great power that can be only used if focused through a lense. What lense you use will determine how the power can be used

Q: What is the sword of light and how is it forged
A: Forged by Aurora's power coalesced into a sword
  • The power already exists

Q: Anything we can or should know about you?
A: No. I don't wish it. I'm not a player in this game

    I: 2 warnings
  • Once inside the temple it's always been used to focus Aurora's power it can be used by anyone
  • We've been asking questions that some would not want us to ask because Aurora answering them would be a problem
