History of Calladen

My "Old friend Calladin" is apparently fairly different than I once thought. About 10 years ago he was far more active, a great god of undeath and deception is what he informed us of outright. One of his bragging rights was that he would point adventurers in the direction of things far worse than he, and help us solve those problems, all the while growing in power himself. He would swell up his chest and laugh mildly melodramatically and tell us of a far greater evil.

I worked for and with him in several situations outside of those of the outright party. He helped me accomplish a holy trial I was on, he personally taught me how to make some of the most powerful Death Knights I have ever seen (Not something I do, but good knowledge to have). He and I had a number of intimate conversations after the party had trod off or stepped aside. One thing he told me is that he is generally honest. After all, what good is a god of deception that you can *never* trust? I like to think he was fairly upfront with me, but again, a god of deception. There was a time where I would have considered him a friend, had I been a little older, a bit more arrogant, and a touch more na�ve. Then he vanished. Perhaps something occurred at a gathering I wasn't privvy to, ten years ago was a time where information was more guarded, and people were more hostile about what they deemed secrets. When Laika told me this past fall he was in touch with Callidan, I was excited to meet him again, though I will now do so tempered with another decade of adventuring experience beneath me. |
