My lord would like to congratulate you on recently becoming King Calin's personal chef. Given these times obtaining a position of trust is not something many can achieve. As such, it puts you in a unique position. My lord knows that while you may have a love for you profession, you have no love for king. As you are no doubt aware King Calin has no children. What you may not be aware of is that Lord Jules is the son of the king's cousin. Should the king no longer be able to hold his throne my lord would take his place. The king is holding a feast in honor of his new wife on the summer solstice. If you would use your talents to ensure that this would be King Calin's last meal then my lord is prepared to pay you four hundred gold.
