All are encouraged and challenged to present their greatest five person teams, for a weekend of skill, force, and thought. Among the competitions were Mage, Healer, Questing, even an Acquisition challenge. The Southern Wastes hosted questing in the dark. "Lots of people talk a good game, let's see if they can play it!"

It is rumored a were-beast inhabits the area, and possesses a magic weapon. Parties of five may venture into the woods to attempt to recover the scales. Only the party that possesses the most scales will receive an audience with me and reap the rewards and untold riches I offer. These culprits are wanted dead or alive. (from Lord Kyth Sterling of Dragonsbane)
28th Basics - The Prince of Elves (David Fey) hosted a fun 'walk your talk' tournament: who can beat whom? Many were invited to prove it, however there was a line: All those 23 years of age and older by a mortal's standard were deemed 'Age and Treachery'. All those 22 years and lesser became 'Youth and Skill'. Each participant was only allowed to bring three weapons, which they attached their names to (no sharing).

It was run by the Guildmaster of the Marshals' Guild, and the Florentine limit was six foot six inches (6'6"). It was hosted in the lands of Periden.
Also 3rd-6th Rrathchllwyn's Labor Day Harvest Festival and War Games - At the castle of Rrathchllwyn, (Ben Crosby) & (Ellen Donovan) invited folks to their 13th-century village (placing it in High Middle Ages of Realms' time). Merchants were abundant during the day, along with demonstrations of the prowess of warriors. There was seemingly a never-ending succession of List Tournies, Field and Bridge Battles, Siegecraft, Music, Games, Swimming (Casual and Competition), jesters and jongleurs, and even more. No magic was allowed for the war conventions (tournaments), and they took inspection of every weapon, shield, and even arrows (floo-floo or flu-flu arrows were the arrow of the time).
19th Darkwood I: Trek to Kraggen Cor - Renard of Darkwood has learned that an ancient scroll of prophecy has been discovered in the abandoned kingdom of Kraggen Cor. This scroll could be important for the Realms of Wonder!
