BACKGROUND
Blackwing was a shaman of sorts a chosen of the raven totem (Bright's predecessor)
He was the last of the old Spirit Council
A spirit guide of Gya
told zeek to seek him (Blackwing) out - HE WAS LOCKED AWAY IN

He came to the Realms (LAND OF MORTALS) to renew the Spirit Council in order to fight against a great evil that was coming.

Many heros spoke to Blackwing and several chose to walk the path he had shown them (HEROS OF THE REALMS). While many roles were filled the Council was never completely fulfilled. Those whom were chosen amongst the MORTALS of the REALMS were in no particular order:

SCHOOLED UNDER BLACKWING AND WITH HIS PASSING
BRIGHT WAS CHOSEN TO TAKE HIS PLACE.

(MAGUS) ZEEK FOLTEORE MCKRYE

BECAUSE OF WHAT HE WAS (CLANSMAN) ZEEK had the choice to fight his lord for the possition on the council or not. ZEEK chose to not challenge SIR MCKRYE. For SNAKE was never TRULY fulfilled, though some say that LAURANTE is SNAKE or a possibility for SNAKE.

STAG - PURITY
OWL - GUIDE FOR THE DEAD (often called THE HEALER)
WOLF - HUNTER/WARRIOR
RAVEN - WISDOM/KNOWLEDGE
FOX - SCOUT
SNAKE - ASSASSIN/???
ZEEK - THE ZEEK

Lesser Totems

TOAD - servant of the Evil Totems. Corruption.

A previous Spirit Council had been able to imprison the evil totems in the outer Spirit Realm. TOAD went from prison to prison, releasing the evil totems and thus allowing them to influence the living world beyond normal levels. IE TAINTING ENTIRE VILLAGES.

The MORTALS had few yet dangerous encounters with these EVIL totems. Over time had come to conclusion that the evil totems must be RE-IMPRISONED.

It is UNCLEAR which of these are TOTEMS and which are ASPECTS of the TOTEMS

GREED, SLOTH, ENVY, LUST, WRATH, GLUTTONY - theorized to be Aspects of the Evil Totems

A quest was planned several times to re-imprison the evil totems but aborted due to the feeling those whom would go on this journey were NOT READY.

Finally it was decided the council HAD TO TAKE ACTION. For they were as ready as they ever would be.

The quest took place at a queen of hearts DATE UNKNOWN.

There is only one way for a mortal (living being) to enter the spirit realm. The spirit realm is the dwelling place of spirits, ghosts, etc. The further one ventures into the spirit realm, the less it resembles the waking world. IN ORDER TO ENTER THE SPIRIT WORLD ONE'S SOUL MUST BE SEVERED FROM THEIR PHYSICAL BODY. AKA DEAD AND SCALPED.

ON THE NIGHT OF On the eve of this quest, FOX/ANTOLICUS was NOT AMONG THEM (SPIRIT COUNCIL). PYR (OWL) was there to guide the OTHER CHOSEN HOME. Therfor unable to accompany those whom ENTERED THE SPIRIT REALM. ALSO MAHKTA DID Also MAHKTA was there as she was the DEN MOTHER OF THE CLAN MCKRYE. THE KEY to the PRISONS had been aquired through holo or by lorhner it is UNKNOWN (ZEEK IS UNABLE TO REMEMBER) it looks DIFFERENT nolo THOUGHT, AT THE time it looked like a real key to a lock. The quest was extremely dangerous and the only hope of survival was to face the totems and aspects of the evil TOTEMS in various forms, aperitions, aspects, what they represented atc. and once done the council has to seal back the prisons. They also had to take shelter until OWL/PYR) was ABLE to call those in the spirit realm BACK completely.
The only shelter to be had was the prisons. Each prison could only contain ONE SPIRIT (HERO, BEING). For each totem that was faced and sealed away ONE OF THE CHOSEN had to stay behind or ALL OF THE CHOSEN IN THE SPIRIT REALM WOULD BE lost. So AS THE TASKS were accomplished with the reaming chosen were Bright, McKrye, and Zeek. the others haveing TAKEN shelter in the prisons. bright stayed behind and upon locking the prison handed the key to McKrye. Unfortunately, the key was on a leather cord and shortly AFTER BRIGHT HANDED THE KEY TO THE MCKRYE IT HAD SLIPPED OFF AND WAS HIDDEN BY DARKNESS. When McKrye soon realised the key was lost he went back to search for it but was unable to find it. It was lost.
Knowing their fates, McKrye AND ZEEK PRESSED ON regauardless with 2 more TOTEMS TO FACE. At some point during the next battle against the totems ZEEK AND MCKRYE WERE SEPEARATED. MCKRYE PRESSED ON TO FACE THE FINAL TOTEM ALONE. Zeek faced the 2nd to last totem and by HIS CHOISES SEALED IT AWAY WITHOUT THE AID OF A KEY. This involved finding his way to the spirit lodge. Something that had not been done nor for had it been foreseen to be done. AND THERE ZEEK MET WITH THE GOOD TOTEMS (8) THE SEAT OF WHERE THEY RESIDE. AND ALTHOUGH ZEEK could have chosen to stay with the other EIGHT totems forever, he chose to return to the land of the living and live out his life. When ZEEK dies his final death, he will return to THE SPIRIT LODGE.

OUT OF ALL THOSE WHO ENTERED TO THE SPIRIT WORLD, only ZEEK whole returned, yet HE WAS NOT EXPECTED. Over the following days as resources became available, the others souls were called and raised by normal means. However, those who were brought back were not complete. A piace of them remained IN THE SPIRIT REALMS AND IT WAS THE CHOSEN OF OWL'S DUTY TO CALL THAT PIECE BACK. Thus he was able to do for all save two. ZEEK DID NOT NEED THIS FOR HE HAD RETURNED whole (THE only one) and McKrye was UNABLE TO FIND SHELTER.
McKRYE was more difficult for the Chosen of Owl to call back. So it was a greater task for PYR TO REMIND MCKRYE OF WHO HE WAS. PYR TRIED VERY HARD but in the end HE FAILED. IN THE END McKrye was lost and IS STILL LOST TO ABANDONMENT. It has remained around for many years yet, the CLAN AND OTHERS HAVE NOT GIVEN UP.
